Project Brief:

Balfour Beatty Power Networks (BBPN) who were all geographically spread, office and field based, shift patterns and some remote working, wanted some correct behavioural support to enhance their safety culture, with a focus on small gang field-based operations.

Project Delivery:

BBPN had an existing and robust approach to safety, which had gotten them so far, but incidents kept happening on a frequency where the management, with a Zero Harm companywide approach, wanted to reduce.

They wanted to break through their safety plateau.

We were selected as the Senior Leadership Team (SMT) saw how well we had connected with their front line who were known and respected for their robust approach to getting the task done.

They saw that above all other training providers, that we got their guys and their guys got us.

We co-created a bespoke package that covered

  • Training non-UK based resource who were mainly selected from the Philippines

We trained over 800 employees, using a multi-trainer delivery system to ensure cross-organisational impact and helped them create their current ‘Winter Training School’. A system where all gangs come through on a cyclical basis to get requalified for the upcoming year.
